The business has a bespoke, in-house and sophisticated software platform.

Octopus Investments, was looking to undertake a strategic review of the software and technology platform, including a “real-world” opinion on the GTM challenges and changes that would need to be made for the platform to rapidly scale.

As we approached the go-to-market phase of the company, we wanted an independent view on how well the development was going, the veracity of the technology and product roadmap and the commercial positioning and viability (within the telco landscape) of the product.

The fact that the team included a former CIO of BT Group proved invaluable as did their experience of software ecosystems in general.  The outcome was a business focused report which allowed our investment team to make informed "go/no go" decisions on the next round of investment and the direction of travel of the product and platform's development."
